Christmas Sensory Bins
Hi friends! Happy weekend.
I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week already!
I'm already in Christmas mode though, especially with all of this cold weather we have been having lately.
Since it's getting colder here in Illinois, this mama was needing a few more indoor activities for the kiddos:: hence these festive Christmas sensory play bins. I saw something similar to these online and I thought the kiddos would just love them! So I tried recreating a few versions of these this week and wanted to share. They were a big hit with my kiddos!
I found the clear bins at Target for $2, filled one bin with Cocoa Puffs cereal and the other bin with cotton balls. You can easily add whatever holiday trinkets you already have laying around in your home... I found a few little goodies to add to the bins from Hobby Lobby this week: these adorable candy canes, glittery puffy balls, mini gingerbread mugs and gingerbread men, the Santa cups and red scoop cups... and everything was 1/2 off!
These are super simple play kits to make at home and I love that they are essentially mess-free. Even better! I also love the fact that you can re-use what you may already have at home and on-hand... Or you could let your kids pick what goes in the bins and create their own sensory kits for winter.
Our kiddos' loved these and have been playing with them all weekend.
Mama-score!
