Happy Cinco de Mayo!

It's Cinco de Mayo! I love chips, I love guac, I love salsa... So celebrating this festive holiday is a MUST!

I thought I would share a quick and easy salsa recipe with all of you today. Not my typical style post, but I do love cooking and creating yummy little snacks for my family and friends, so I thought I'd go ahead and share this spicy/sweet salsa!... I might even start sharing quick and tasty recipes once and awhile here on 'Thee Girl in Yellow'. Sharing the details below for this simple and fresh salsa. Hope you enjoy!

Fresh Pepper Salsa

Ingredients:

1 yellow pepper

1 orange pepper

2 jalapenos {I like it spicy!}

3 small roma tomatoes

2 handfuls of fresh cilantro

3 green onions

1 lime

2 tablespoons of sugar {adds a little sweetness!}

pinch of red pepper flakes

dash or two of garlic salt

Directions:

Dice all veggies, add salt and sugar.

Cut lime in half, squeeze & add juice from one half of lime.

Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

Add more seasonings or veggies if you like.

Serve with chips or on top of tacos.

Maybe add a margarita or two ;)

Enjoy!

Xo!
